PSD103470 is a dual mass flywheel for the Td5 engine. Fitted to the Td5, it reduces torsional vibration transmitted into the transmission by using two masses separated by damper springs, which lowers driveline vibration and reduces shock loading on the clutch assembly and gearbox compared with a single-mass unit. The flywheel also provides the driven surface for the clutch friction facing and accommodates the starter ring gear.
