TOR000010 is a viscous coupling unit for the propshaft on four-cylinder Freelander 1 models. Fitted within the propshaft assembly, the unit uses a plate pack immersed in a high-viscosity fluid to transmit torque between shafts when relative speed occurs between the plates, moderating sudden changes in rotational speed and smoothing torque transfer under varying traction conditions.
Please note: Will not fit the 2.5 KV6. When fitting a new viscous coupling replace the two bearings and hangers; the complete bearing and housing assembly part number is TOQ000040.
